Fab often searches for undervalued opportunities at times there is a disconnect between what the asset is worth versus what the market is valuing it at. This often occurs at times when there is widespread fear and panic. This strategy allowed him to identify and time the bottom of the 2008 Financial Crisis in Canada where he was aggressively buying real estate.

This strategy was repeated during the USA subprime mortgage real estate collapse where he was aggressively buying heavily distressed real estate in both Arizona and Nevada. These purchases were made near the bottom of the market collapse and at a very rare time when the Canadian dollar briefly traded higher than the US dollar. Today he still holds significant real estate assets on both sides of the border.
